Introduction to Odor

Building on the successes achieved in previous classes, Introduction to Odor introduces your dog to the scent of birch oil. You continue to learn how odor moves through the environment, and your dog will be challenged with more difficult searches and more distracting environments. We will all be learning from each dog’s searching styles and patterns.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Vehicles and Exteriors, or approval of instructor. To practice outside of class, participants will be required to buy an odor kit, or buy odor supplies and create a kit.

Class Start Date: Classes are offered as students complete Introduction to Vehicles and Exteriors. Contact us for more information if you have taken the prerequisites elsewhere.

Locations: Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto. Pet Food Express in Palo Alto, Mountain View, and San Jose. Pet Food Express offers an exciting variety of fun, interesting searches, and is a wonderful opportunity for dogs to learn focus, with distracting pet products nearby. If you have any questions, contact us, or drop by during class to observe.
